These permissions are used by AARRAS (Accenture Android Remote Reporting Automated Solution) only. This is a crash reporting solution which will collect and report device information in the event of an application crash. AARRAS will only send data after requesting explicit user permission, all data is anonymous and no personally identifiable information is sent. AARRAS aids the quality of development and testing of Applications. AARRAS is being demonstrated by Erik Jacobson as part of the “Software and Device Engineering Tools” demo at the Accenture Pavilion at MWC.
Only required to update for Android 2.1 (Eclair) devices. If your device is running a version of Android newer than 2.1 you do not need to update
AARRAS identified an issue with certain Eclair handsets. This was these handsets contain a bug in their SQL implementation, a legal SQL query used in the Accenture team section of the application caused a crash on these handsets. This update fixes the issue by re-implementing the queries to work around the underlying issue in some 2.1 devices
